Volunteers are a very important aspect of Head Start as we count your time as an in-kind donation, which helps meet a federal financial requirement. Volunteers assist in the classroom, playing games, reading or telling stories, laundering cot sheets and blankets, assisting with classroom cut-outs, and clean-up.

Volunteers can also help outside the classroom by accompanying your child on fields trips, assisting with projects at home, small repairs, sewing, laundry, etc.

We also welcome professional volunteers to come in to do a presentation over their profession or to volunteer their services.

So, please, feel free to volunteer in your child's classroom! Grandparents, aunts & uncles, or other family and friends are more than welcome also!
